American woman falls from golf cart and sues Hard Rock Hotel for 40 million rupees

A woman from Brooklyn, USA, who fell from a golf cart is suing the Hard Rock Cafe & Hotel in the Dominican Republic for $500,000 (Rs 4 crore). Taylor O’Leary claimed in the lawsuit that she suffered multiple injuries after falling from her golf cart in July 2022 because the seat was wet and slippery, according to a report in the ^ “New York Post: The New York Post”.

The incident occurred at the Hard Rock Golf Club in Punta Cana. According to the lawsuit, the 27-year-old, who was a guest at the hotel, filed a complaint against the establishment and its corporate owner, Hard Rock Cafe International.

Meanwhile, in June, a Disneyland employee died two days after suffering a head injury in a golf cart accident, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The 60-year-old woman, named Bonnye Mavis Lear, was in the backstage area of ​​the California theme park when the incident occurred.

Anaheim Police and Anaheim Fire Department arrived at the resort on Wednesday after being notified of the accident. She was a passenger and hit her head after falling from the moving vehicle. The 60-year-old was subsequently taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

The 60-year-old worked at the Disneyland Resort for 24 years, where she “supported member services at Club 33,” the park’s exclusive private dining club.

Rae Delgado, a cast member at Disney California Adventure Attractions, wrote on Facebook that Ms. Lear suffered brain swelling and a fractured skull as a result of the accident. “Bonnye was traveling in a rear-facing seat of a golf cart behind Critter Country with three other passengers.
