Jolie is the first celebrity spokesperson for Tom Ford Beauty and has been chosen by the brand to be the face of its new Runway Lip Colour lipstick collection, launching in September. The range will replace the existing Lip Colour range and will include 18 shades in total, eight of which are new. There will also be eight shades of lip liner. The campaign, which was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and will be released in full on September 3, is a cinematic celebration of female beauty and its power.
In the campaign, Jolie wears the hero shade of the collection, “Scarlet Rouge”, the she described To WWD as a beautiful color and texture. “A good red lipstick doesn’t need much more. It’s worn with intention. That was part of the discussion.”

But was I strong enough to be soft? Not then. I felt vulnerable,” she says. “Now I wonder if I don’t know my style because at 48 I’m still trying to figure out who I am. I guess I’m in flux as a person.”
