Anker introduces SOLIX C300 DC and AC power stations

Anker SOLIX is a favorite here at 9to5Toysand the brand is introducing two new personal backup power solutions that build on the success of their predecessors like the PowerCore Reserve. Officially launching in two weeks, the new C300 DC/C300 power banks/stations are ultra-portable devices that debut dual charging, faster charging speeds, and even newly added output ports for more versatility. Learn more about these two new models below.

“Massive cargo for everyone, in no time”

Let’s start with the C300 DC model. Its compact unit houses a 90,000mAh 288Wh LiFePO4 battery and offers a total output of up to 300W. The brand positions this device as one of the smallest portable options under its flag. It weighs 6.18 pounds, which is still heavy enough to feel some weight (think of a regular bowling ball) – and like the PowerCore Reserve model, this one also comes with an optional strap that lets you sling it over your shoulder when you’re not storing it in a bag.

This new power station also has a feature not seen before in the company’s portable power stations: it uses its two 140W bi-directional USB-C ports together for increased charging speeds of up to 280W. Aside from the USB ports, it can also be charged in 3.2 hours using a 100W solar panel. For charging your other devices through this device, there are seven ports to cover your needs: four USB-C ports (one 15W port, one 100W port, and the two 140W ports), two 12W USB-A ports, and a 120W auxiliary/car port that is compatible with the DC plugs on battery-powered devices such as electric coolers.

Like the PowerCore Reserve, the C300 DC has a built-in pop-up LED light with three different brightness levels, so it can be used as a camping lantern or emergency light source. It has a built-in display that lets you see the power usage of your connected devices as well as the remaining battery level, which you can also monitor via Anker’s companion app on your smartphone when connected via Bluetooth.

With its counterpart, the C300 model, Anker now delivers an AC-focused version of the power bank/station that shares some similarities but still has some key differences. First, this AC model weighs 1.3kg more and has double the output power of its sibling at 600W. It has three AC output ports to extend its reach to alternative devices and even small appliances, while still being able to power personal devices with its three USB-C ports (two of which are 140W ports), just one USB-A port, and a 120W auxiliary/car port.

This model doesn’t offer the same dual USB charging capabilities as the model above, but can instead plug into any standard wall outlet for similar charging speeds. The pop-up light has also been replaced here with an integrated carry handle on top (also with the same optional carry strap) and added an integrated light bar positioned horizontally above the display.

The Anker SOLIX C300 DC and AC models will be released on August 28th

Both the C300 DC and C300 AC models will be available on Anker’s website and Amazon store starting August 28, 2024. The DC model will be available $199.99 ready to ship and the AC model starts at $249.99 ready to ship. According to the company, there will be an early bird discount for those who pre-order directly from Anker’s website before August 27, which will reduce the cost 149,99 € for the DC and 189,99 € for the air conditioning, although it doesn’t seem to be live yet. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
