Arizona Wildcats basketball team announces date for annual Red-Blue Showcase, adds 2nd edition in Phoenix area

The Red-Blue Showcase is so beautiful that they do it twice.

Arizona has announced the date and details for its annual men’s basketball Meet the Team event, which will take place this year on Oct. 4 at the McKale Center. But that won’t be the only opportunity to get a first look at the Wildcats, as a second Red-Blue event will take place on Oct. 11 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.

Both Red-Blue events will be hosted by former Arizona stars Channing Frye And Richard Jefferson together with her co-host of the Road Trippin’ podcast Allie Cliftonwhile the Glendale version will also feature the former NBA star Kendrick Perkins.

The Tucson edition will take place at 6 p.m. PT. Afterward, fans can head to the MSA Festival Grounds west of downtown to attend the “Post Move” event, part of the annual Dusk Music Festival. This after-party will be hosted by former Wildcat star Gilbert Arenas and feature entertainment by DJs Z-Trip, Mix Master Mike (from the Beastie Boys) and Trackstar the DJ (from Run the Jewels).

UA basketball players and coaches will be on hand for the post move.

Tickets for the McKale Red-Blue event go on sale Thursday for $10 each and can be purchased at ArizonaWildcats.com. Tickets for the Glendale showcase (which begins at 6:30 p.m. PT on Oct. 11) are available at desertdiamondarena.com. Tickets and more information on Post Move can be found at ArizonaPostMove.com.
