At the hottest new hotel in Ibiza, Spain, which transports you to the 1960s – and is the first in the world to be entirely dedicated to fashion

It is a type of hotel that caused a sensation in the inland town of Palm Springs, California in the 1960s.

And with over 100 fashion designers involved in the design of the suites and public areas, it is guaranteed to be a huge success in Spain.

The large group of fashionistas, including Alejandro Gomez Palomo, Angel Nokonoko and Pepa Salazar, have lent their name to Los Felices (which means “happy people”) in Ibiza.

It claims to be the first hotel in the world dedicated entirely to fashion, and each designer has provided a piece of clothing for the six villas and 107 rooms.

The hotel, located on the Bay of Sant Josep, near San Antonio, showcases the work of designers, many of whom are just emerging on the Spanish scene.

Dozens of them attended a launch party this month alongside Hollywood stars Paz Vega and Josh Hutcherson, famous for his role in The Hunger Games.

The interior designers at Ilmiodesign did a great job and perfectly captured the style of the sixties with its clean lines, pastel colors and retro accents.

A riot of colour, unusual furniture and huge photographs characterise the lounge areas, while tall palm trees and cacti dominate the plants outside.

The rooms are bustling with activity: Marshall speakers, bright colors and numerous products.

Of course, a kiosk also offers plenty of fashion magazines and a selection of stylish clothes for sale.

The lucky few are allowed to live in the UFO-shaped villas designed in the 1970s by Danish architect Matti Suuronen.

His bright pink Futuro House forms the backdrop of a stage where fashion shows and concerts take place.

It belongs to the Concept Group hotel chain, opened this summer and costs from around 200 euros per night in September.

An attached nightclub will open next year, while the Bambola di Grosso Napoletano restaurant combines Italian and Spanish cuisine.
