BD Wong reprised his role yesterday for a social media video in support of Kamala Harris.

Wong, 63, is known to millions for his recurring role in Law and Order: SVU. He first came to attention in his twenties when he won a number of awards for his role in the hit Broadway show. M. Butterfly.

In films he played the memorable role of geneticist Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic Park (a role he reprised in 2015 in Jurassic World2017 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdomand 2022 Jurassic World; Dominion). He was also cast in the television series Mr. Robot.

Wong posted a video on Instagram yesterday.

“In the American political system, a presidential candidate who has been convicted of 34 crimes is considered particularly heinous,” Wong says directly into the camera, as if narrating a TV trailer.

“In Washington DC, a dedicated former prosecutor is challenging this convicted felon as part of an elite force called Kamala Harris for President. This is her moment, and I am with her,” he continued.

At this point, Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, sticks his head into the picture.

Wong breaks character and says, “Oh, hey, Doug!”

It is not clear if and how Wong knows Harris, although he was born in San Francisco and Harris worked there for many years.

Emhoff also shared the video on his X account. Kamala Harris re-shared his tweet.

Doug Emhoff raises funds for his wife Kamala

Unlike the spouses of some MAGA-aligned politicians we could name, Emhoff has been particularly busy raising funds for his wife, Kamala Harris. The week before last, he and Chasten Buttigieg were guests at a fundraiser on Fire Island.

According to organizers, the event broke a record, raising $321,000, far surpassing a previous fundraiser on Fire Island in 2016, which featured special guest Cher, which raised $200,000.

Size Queen

Since President Biden announced his withdrawal from the re-election race, Harris has narrowed the gap to Trump in the polls. Her choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as vice president also appears to have been well received.

Donald Trump, meanwhile, appears to be growing increasingly annoyed that Harris and Walz are attracting so many people to their rallies. Yesterday he claimed – without any evidence – that Harris used artificial intelligence to make her rallies appear larger in photos.

Harris HQ’s campaign account refuted this allegation.

“1) This is a real photo of a 15,000-strong crowd attending Harris-Waltz in Michigan,” the outlet tweeted alongside a picture posted by Trump of a crowd waiting for Harris. It added: “2) Trump still hasn’t campaigned in a swing state in over a week…Low energy?”
