Bebe Rexha claims she was banned from flying after a security guard ‘threatened’ her

Bebe Rexha spoke to her followers in tears as she accused an airline security officer of a hate crime against her and denied her permission to board her plane.

Singer Bebe Rexha – real name Bleta Rexhaclaimed that the whole incident started because she spoke Albanian with a security guard.

The 34-year-old was at Munich International Airport in Germany on August 17, but said she was “banned” from boarding the plane after an altercation with the male security guard.

Rexha posted a tearful video on social media explaining the situation.

In her Instagram story, she wrote: “The supervisor of this Lufthansa flight is threatening me.”

She captioned the video: “Lufthansa, I was threatened because I thought the security guard was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian and asked where I could get my ticket and now he’s banning me from flying.”

Rexha also said the man tried to abuse his power and refused to cooperate with her when she tried to resolve the situation.

In a follow-up post, she said: “I believe this is a hate crime because I am Albanian.

“He wouldn’t let me take his name. He continued to psychologically abuse me to make me feel like he was more powerful than he was.”

Regarding the alleged incident, the singer also said that not a single Lufthansa employee intervened to help.

She continued: “He didn’t want to tell me his name. But I just found out that he works for ATSG, a document control service company contracted by Lufthansa.”

After the singer was contacted by Lufthansa, she gave another update on the entire situation.

Rexha said: “I have never been so emotionally drained. Lufthansa has sent me a direct message, but I urge them to conduct a full investigation to find out who this man is who abused his power.”

Rexha’s mother also posted on her own account and threatened legal action against the airline over the dispute.

A Lufthansa representative spoke to UNILAD and discussed the current situation.

They said: “We have contacted Bebe Rexha and are in direct contact with her to understand the situation. As an international airline, we connect people and countries around the globe. Our guests and employees come from all over the world.

“Diversity and equal opportunities are core values ​​of our company and our corporate culture. We do not tolerate any discriminatory behavior.”

The spokesman also said that the singer was able to board the flight normally.
