Berserk fans, rejoice! The legendary manga and inspiration for the anime adaptation of the same name is back with a brand new chapter in English. Berserk Vol. 42 hits stores in March 2025, will be published by Dark Horse Manga and developed by Studio Gaga. The news comes from Dark Horse themselves at their manga panel for Anime NYC 2024.

The story of Berserk Vol. 42 is a continuation of the story started by the late manga artist Kentaro Miura, in association with Studio Gaga and under the supervision of Koiji Mori. After Miura’s death in May 2021, Mori has overseen the continued development of the Berserk manga, which is still unfinished. Volume 42 will be the first volume of the manga to be produced without Miura since his death. The Japanese language version of the volume will be available in Japan starting September 2023.

The latest volume of the horror fantasy manga focuses on the character Casca, the former companion of the often cosplayed black swordsman Guts, and her processing of the memories of the horrors they experienced together and separately.

Berserk Volume 42 will be in bookstores in the US on March 18, 2025.
