Blade concept art shows classic comic-style costume and other updated looks

Deadpool and Wolverine brought back some fan-favorite characters from the Marvel Universe’s past, with Wesley Snipes’ Blade clearly being the biggest surprise.

Snipes and Reynolds clashed during the shooting Blade: Trinity and since Mahershala Ali is still working on a blade When the reboot was announced five years ago, we all thought the actor’s time as a daywalker was over.

Despite his age of 62, Snipes didn’t look like he had lost any of his strength in his role as Blade, and he was a real daredevil in the third installment in the Marvel Studios series.

Now we can see a few different costume designs for the character; this concept art, provided by artist Wes Burt, shows Blade in a new, modern style as well as a battle-hardened outfit that he obviously spent quite a bit of time wearing on his journey through The Void.

By far the most striking design is one in which the hero wears an almost exact replica of the character’s original costume from the comic. One look at it is enough to understand why so many fans have a blade Film with Snipes returning in place of Ali’s debuting vampire hunter.

“There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade creating a market first. He’s Marvel Daddy. Please share for a Logan-like send-off.” Reynolds recently said on social media: “The audience reaction when Wesley Snipes enters the film is the most intense thing I’ve ever heard in a theater. People screaming with unbridled joy and love is also the sound of a legacy. More Blade, please.”

Last month, Snipes said the following about his Marvel return:

“I didn’t think it was possible. I didn’t think we could do it. I didn’t think Marvel was interested, Disney was – partly because they had cast Mahershala in the next version. I thought, this doesn’t make sense to me, but when you get a call from Ryan Reynolds out of the blue after 20 years, you say, ‘Okay, I have to take this call. Let’s see what it’s about.’ He told me the idea… They said, ‘Yes,’ and ‘Let’s go.’ ‘If you’re in, we’re in.’ Here we are.”
