Blue Ivy Carter has grown up! Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s first-born daughter was recently spotted in Los Angeles. Fans all over the internet reacted and commented on how grown up the Grammy winner has become.

Carter is seen in an all-denim ensemble in the now-viral images. The Beyhive, of course, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their love for the “Brown Skin Girl” singer. One of the most viral posts of the photos simply reads, “SORRY BLUE IVY??!!!”

For many fans, it feels like they’ve spent the last 12 years watching Blue Ivy grow up before their eyes, a sentiment shared by many on X. One user wrote, “Not Blue Ivy out alone with friends and having her picture taken. My sister is growing up, oh wow.”

Popular TikTok star Blakely Thornton commented on the footage and talked about how quickly those 12 years seem to have passed. “This is a picture of Blue Ivy Carter out and about in LA,” he says in the video. “This is what someone born in 2012 looks like. Baby, she’s out here reading, writing, doing math.”

He uses various cultural reference points to highlight how much has happened in the last twelve years. He says she “didn’t experience a white president until the second half of her life” and she “read about the Spice Girls breaking up in history books.”

His main takeaway from these photos: “Time just flies!” He encourages his followers to “do the things” because time flies no matter what! Watch the video below:

Other fans, while happy that the 12-year-old is doing well, questioned the paparazzi for taking photos of a minor in the first place. “I pray for Blue Ivy’s mental health as she grows up and becomes more aware of the public obsession with her family,” wrote one user. “I don’t like that the paparazzi are already following her everywhere and taking photos of her, she’s only 12, LEAVE HER ALONE!”
