Blue Jays CXC finish 14th and 13th, boys tennis finishes 8th – Jamestown Sun

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown High School cross country teams hosted the Orriginal Invitation at Parkhurst Recreation Area on Saturday, August 24th.

The Blue Jays boys team finished 14th, and the girls team finished 13th. The Blue Jays’ top finisher was Micah Stoudt, who finished 56th with a time of 18:56.81. The Jays’ top finisher was Layna Hoffer, who finished 41st with a time of 22:11.00.

Kenadie Pazdernik (201) of Carrington was one of the top finishers at the Orriginal Invitational on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Parkhurst Recreation Area.

Williston won the boys’ team competition with an average time of 17:16.70 and a score of 38. The Coyotes also won the girls’ team competition with an average time of 21:16.99 and a score of 90.

The Blue Jays are back in action on Thursday, August 29th when they take on the Brecknridge-Wahpeton Memorial Invite XC Race.

Jamestown boys tennis finish eighth

MINOT – The Jamestown High School boys tennis team finished eighth in its opening contest of the season on Saturday, Aug. 24, at Hammond Park in Minot.

The Blue Jays finished the game with eight points, as they scored all eight points in their singles matches. The Blue Jays’ most successful player was Luke LeFevre, who went 5-2 in his matches and finished third in the first singles competition.

Minot High won the team competition with 32 points. The best individual player was Karter Hazenbuhler. who won 7-0.

The Blue Jays return to the field on Thursday, September 5th at 4:00 p.m. when they travel to Mandan.
