Blue Jays footballers beat Dickinson 7-0 – Jamestown Sun

DICKINSON, ND — The Jamestown High School boys soccer team displayed offensive power in a 7-0 victory over the Dickinson Midgets on Saturday, August 17, at the Midgets’ Biesiot Activity Center.

The Blue Jays (2-0) took a 4-0 lead within 16 minutes thanks to a hat trick from Iddi Ramadhani and a goal from Ian Lere. They kept the pressure on from there, scoring a goal each from Grady Eckart and Carter Genter to take a 6-0 lead into halftime.

The Jays scored another goal in the second half: Bennett Goehner increased the lead to 7-0.

Ian Lere of the Jays had a great day, scoring a goal and dishing out two assists to help his team to a 2-0 start to the season.

The Jays’ clear lead was marked by two goals: Grant Lunde and Evan Harty saved all three shots. On the other hand, the Midgets’ (0-1) goalkeeper saved nine of 16 shots.

The Blue Jays return to the field on Thursday, August 22nd at 7:30 p.m. when they face Bismarck Legacy.
