Blue Yonder’s Doddle division works with FedEx on returns

Supply chain software provider Blue Yonder’s new Doddle division will work with FedEx Corp. to expand its network of return locations and provide U.S. consumers with a seamless e-commerce returns experience.

The deal connects nearly 2,000 new return points at FedEx Office locations across the country with Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions, a joint venture between Inmar and Doddle. Blue Yonder acquired Doddle in 2023 and said the British technology company would add capabilities in last-mile, returns management and reverse logistics solutions.

According to the partners, the newly expanded packaging-free returns network offers retailers and brands the opportunity to reduce costs and provide a positive return experience for their customers. It addresses a common point of contention between shoppers and stores – a recent Inmar survey found that 60% of online consumers would not shop with a retailer again after a single bad return experience.

“We are excited to partner with Inmar to make the return experience more convenient for their customers,” said Ryan Kelly, vice president of commercialization at FedEx, in a press release. “We offer an exceptional label-free, package-free experience at FedEx Office and are always looking for ways to help merchants solve their most pressing post-purchase challenges.”
