Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 13 reveals what was supposed to happen to Naruto during his fight against Isshiki Otsutsuki.
The fight between Naruto and Isshiki is one of the highlights of the Boruto anime and manga. Not only does it show Naruto at the peak of his power with Baryon Mode, but it also contains the most tragic moment of the series. As a reward for the enormous increase in power, Kurama sacrifices himself to save his Jinchuriki.
However, that wasn’t how it was intended – at least not in most timelines. In Chapter 13 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Kashin reveals to Koji his ability to foresee. Since time isn’t clearly linear, he can see every possible future out there.
In Boruto’s flashback, it is revealed that he gained this ability and saw many possibilities for the future when he almost died after his fight against Jigen (and Isshiki). In many of these, Naruto died when he used Baryon Mode during his fight against Isshiki.
ShueishaLuckily, that didn’t happen. Kurama sacrificed himself and was later revived in Himawari. Part of the credit for this goes to Kawaki, who distracted Isshiki and bought Kurama enough time to protect Naruto.
The reveal of Kashin Koji is a serious reminder of what could have happened to the beloved character. Although Naruto is no longer the protagonist of the story, he is still the most popular character in the franchise. His death is something that no one wishes for in the manga.
Aside from Naruto’s grim fate in other timelines, Kashin Koji also reveals what should have happened to Boruto. The boy was killed by Kawaki in most timelines, after which Kawaki was devoured by the Divine Tree, leading to the end of the world.
However, Boruto survived like his father. He also promised to save the world at any cost, but not by killing Kawaki. Kashin Koji was impressed by his determination and promised to teach Boruto everything he learned through his foresight, resulting in the protagonist’s power-up.
