Buffalo Bills quarterback sells lavish mansion for .6 million

The Buffalo Bills‘ new backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has said goodbye to his impressive home in Pennsylvania, five months after his departure from Pittsburgh Steelers to rejoin the New York-based team.

Trubisky, 30, announced in March that he was returning to the Bills after two seasons with the Steelers, and that same month he cemented his move by listing his Sewickley, PA, mansion for sale for $1.9 million.

Unfortunately, he was unable to achieve the full asking price and instead had to settle for a 13% discount, ultimately selling the four-bedroom home for $1.66 million.

Hopefully the lower sales price won’t disappoint Trubisky too much, as his two-year deal with the Bills is worth more than three times that amount.

According to Over the Cap, the football professional will earn $5.25 million over two years, including a signing bonus of $1.5 million.

That amount should be more than enough to secure him a new home in Buffalo, NY, where the median home price is $225,000.

Still, it may be difficult for Trubisky to find a new home that is as generous and spacious as his previous Pennsylvania estate.

The luxurious and tranquil 5,000-square-foot property boasts plenty of natural light in the main rooms and a beautiful color palette of pearl gray and white. The high-ceilinged foyer is reminiscent of the entrance to a boutique hotel, with multiple archways leading off the front and a sparkling chandelier above.

A fireplace graces the main living area, which flows seamlessly into the formal dining room. The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, plus there is plenty of counter space for food preparation and seating for four at the kitchen island.

The master bedroom is huge and gleams with glossy flooring. Useful highlights include built-in window sills and drawers for clothes and linens. Next door is a marble bathroom with dual vanities and a rectangular bathtub.

The lower level features a large family/TV room, small exercise area and full bath. There is even a catering kitchen here for large events. Outside, there is a lush lawn where the new owners could install a pool. A three-car garage completes the package.

Trubisky played a prominent role in college at North Carolina and was drafted 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Chicago BearsAfter four seasons of ups and downs in the Windy City, he signed a one-year contract with Buffalo to serve as backup QB for Josh Allen.

However, after only one season, he moved to the Steelers, where he alternated between being a starter and a substitute.

Now, after a few years in Pittsburgh, he returns to Buffalo to a position that will feel familiar to him – once again as Allen’s backup QB.
