The Indiana fever are known for selling out games, but that’s not why Caitlin Clark says she can’t get season tickets for the family.
After a record-breaking night for the first-year guard, Clark was overjoyed in the postgame press conference, talking about the Fever’s 92-75 win over the Seattle Storm on Sunday. That was until she brought up the subject of The WNBA’s notoriously low salaries.
Her teammate Lexie Hull, a Washington native, scored a career-high 22 points in the contest, as her grandmother and twin sister watched courtside at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

When asked by a reporter if she thought it was time to get season tickets for her family, Clark said, “They’re pretty expensive.”
“We spend our entire salary on this. This is no joke. We need people to help us.”
After being selected first in the competition in Iowa, WNBA Draft 2024, According to Spotrac, Clark earned just over $76,000 in her first year.

She signed a four-year contract worth $338,056 and is expected to earn the most in the fourth year with an annual salary of $97,582. For comparison, Zaccharie Risacher, the first pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, signed a four-year, $57 million contract with an average annual salary of $14.2 million.
But Clark, like other WNBA players, has found other sources of additional income.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Clark reportedly earned an estimated $3 million from NIL deals and signed a lucrative eight-figure endorsement deal with Nike in April that will see her have her own signature shoe.
