The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Nagaland has informed that the Election Commission of India has ordered a special summary of the revision of the photo voter lists with reference to the cut-off date 01.01.2025 with the following schedule.
For this special summary revision, applicants for 2025 who become eligible to register with reference to 1 January 2025 as the cut-off date and the subsequent cut-off dates of the year i.e. 1 April 2025, 1 July 2025 and 1 October 2025 may submit their Form 6 applications in advance starting from the date of publication of the draft electoral roll (i.e. 29.10.2024). The applications received with reference to the cut-off date of 1 January 2025 will be processed as per the schedule mentioned above. While the forms/applications with reference to the three subsequent cut-off dates of the year received in advance during the period of special summary revision and subsequent continuous update will be processed by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) under the continuous update during the relevant quarter.
The forms are used as follows: –
Form 6 Application for new voters
Form 6B – Information letter on Aadhar number on voluntary basis for the purpose of voter roll authentication.
Form 7 – Application form for objection to the proposed addition/deletion of a name from the existing electoral roll.
Form 8 – Application form for change of residence/correction of entries in the existing electoral roll/replacement of EPIC/identification of persons with disabilities.
Voters/candidates can submit all the above forms to the concerned Polling Station Officer or to AERO and ERO. Forms are available for download on the website of ECI and CEO. Applications can also be submitted online through www.voters.eci.gov.in (links are available on the website of ECI and CEO) or through the mobile app VHA (Voter Helpline App) available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
