Charli XCX’s “Brat” logo spotted in Marvel comic “The Amazing Spider-Girl” by a 16-year-old

The album by Charli XCX brat has become one of the trends of 2024, not only because of the album and the art itself, but because people have a ‘brat Summer’.

For those who don’t know, a ‘brat “Summer” means someone is being themselves without caring what others think, usually in a chaotic, trashy and quite wild way.

But Charli fans on X / Twitter and Reddit have discovered that the iconic album cover may have first appeared in The Amazing Spider Girl Comic by Marvel published in 2007.

TikToker EricAtTheDisco explained this in a post.

“Charli XCX, if you see this, you might have some explaining to do…” he said.

“Charli XCX fans on Reddit and Twitter have discovered something pretty shocking. This is not from a comic panel from this year. This panel is from The Amazing Spider Girl No. 4, which came out in 2007.

“Fans have spotted a character in this comic wearing a green shirt that says ‘Brat’ in lowercase with a dot.”

Eric then showed the character wearing this shirt throughout the comic.

He continued: “This is shocking because brat came out this year! In 2024! With the album cover that looks like this…”

Eric showed a picture of the brat Album cover.

“So what’s going on here?! The green? The lowercase letters? The only thing that’s different is just the dot. This is crazy. I just want to know if Charli XCX has a Amazing Spider Girl Fan? Is someone on your team a Spider Girl Fan? Do you love comics? Because this is crazy!

“Time is a funny thing, I swear.”

And TikTokers shared their thoughts in the comments.

One user commented: “She is so Julia.”

Another thought: “She deserves her own solo comic series.”

“That’s a cool coincidence,” wrote another.

One said: “That could be Julia.”

“People forget that brat is an LP that is a bit reminiscent of the ’00s. T-shirts that said ‘Brat’, ‘B***h’, ‘Princess’ or ‘Angel’ were not uncommon. Lowercase letters with a period were also a popular aesthetic,” said another.

This isn’t the only time Charli’s album has been used on social media. Recently, model Emily Ratajkowski used a lyric from the album to respond to a misogynistic comment she received on the street.
