Chelsea are planning to sign at least one more attacking player after the club signed Pedro Neto from Wolves for £54 million last night.

Neto, who was also admired by Manchester City and Newcastle United, has agreed to a six-year contract with an option for a further year and will be presented to the crowd at Stamford Bridge today for the friendly against Inter Milan.

The 24-year-old has shone for Wolves over the past five years, scoring 14 goals and providing 24 assists in 135 appearances for the club.

On Friday, shocking news came that Chelsea had agreed to a deal with the Portugal international after turning down two offers and him subsequently undergoing a medical.

Meanwhile, Chelsea confirmed the arrival of Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid for £34.5million after he landed in London on Saturday, and are still hoping to add another player as the club attempts to broker a loan move for Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Napoli confirmed last night that Osimhen has asked to leave the club after being left out of the Coppa Italia squad for the match against Modena.

Their spending has already exceeded £200 million this summer, but they will make up for it by offloading at least seven players either permanently or on loan.

Juventus have enquired about Raheem Sterling but have not pursued talks further, while Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Romelu Lukaku are training with the development team and awaiting offers.

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, among others, are interested in Chalobah, while Leicester City wants striker David Fofana and Lukaku is moving to Napoli.

The latest transfer news comes after Chelsea defender Reece James suffered a setback after sustaining a fresh hamstring injury.
