Chic hotel in Boston, MA, with a rooftop pool and stunning city views

It happens that people from all over New England drive to Boston to attend an event that isn’t near where they live. For example, many people planned to stay in Bean Town when Aerosmith’s Peace Out Tour performed at Fenway Park on December 31, 2024, but we know how that turned out.

Whatever the event, consider staying at the luxurious Omni Hotel at the Seaport in Boston. It is pure decadence. By the way, I am not being paid to say this. I just think the place is woooooorrible.

The rooftop pool is heated and open year-round. Of course, there is also a hot tub available if you prefer. Both offer fantastic views of Boston from the pleasant water. Imagine… it’s 10 degrees in Boston and you’re sitting in the hot tub sipping a nice glass of cognac in the warm water. Wonderful.

Restaurants at the Omni Hotel Seaport Boston

Of course, there are great restaurants at the Omni Boston. Surprisingly, they are a bit more expensive than “normal” restaurants, but not as much as I expected. And the food will certainly be unforgettable.

Experience Boston in a unique way

When you stay at the Omni, you can also enjoy some incredible adventures, such as a private helicopter ride over the city and private cooking classes.

This Boston experience is expensive

Get your wallet out, New England.

You may have heard me say that I like to live a luxurious lifestyle on a budget. Who doesn’t, right? Well, I just found out that this isn’t one of those places. I mean, maybe if you have a ton more money than I do.

I called the Omni Hotel to check availability because when I looked online it looked like nothing was available. I told the nice woman who answered the phone that I just wanted to check on one night’s rates. Here’s what she had to say. And ignore the quotation marks, by the way. I’m paraphrasing it, but this is the gist:

  • Nice lady on the phone: “For example, if you want to book a cheaper room for tonight, our Artist Tower Guest Room costs a maximum of $487.94 per day.
  • Me: “Okay, what if I wanted the nicest room?” (I tried to put on my posh voice…)
  • NLOTP: “We have a Presidential Suite/Penthouse that is approximately 185 sq. ft. with a pool table, dining room with a table for up to six people, large bathroom, etc. for about $5,000 per night. If you want it for the weekend, it’s $17,568.00.”
  • Me: *silence*
  • NLOTP: “We also have a smaller room, the Luxury Suite/Director/Choreographer Suite, which is 1,600 square feet and costs $31,542.00 for three nights.”
  • Me: Confused and silent. Finally I ask: “Why is the presidential suite cheaper than the smaller luxury suite?”
  • NLOTP: “I can put you through to our manager who may be able to help?”
  • Me: (acting now…) “No, that’s fine. Thank you for your help.”

WOWZERS.

The Omni Hotel at the Seaport in Boston is very, very expensive, yes. BUT it is also worth it. Part of me says, “Why not?” At least you could go into the hotel and have a drink at the bar or sit in the lobby. Trust me, they won’t ask you if you are a guest or not. They want to show off the hotel, so I’ll meet you in the lobby and buy the first round of martinis. After a few of those, we don’t care about the price of the rooms.
