~ Colors Cineplex celebrates ‘Asli Yodha’ this Independence Day to mark the World Television Premiere of ‘Yodha’ starring Siddharth Malhotra in the lead role ~

MUMBAI : To celebrate the spirit of freedom and patriotism on this Independence Day, Colors Cineplex is pleased to announce the world premiere of the film starring Siddharth Malhotra in the lead role. “Yodha” on August 11th at 8pm. On this occasion, the fastest growing Hindi film channel celebrates Asli Yodha and pays tribute to the true heroes of our nation.

‘Yodha’ conveys a powerful message of bravery and self-sacrifice and Colors Cineplex’s ‘Asli Yodha’ campaign celebrates the immense contributions of those who put India on the world stage and showcases their dedication and patriotism.

To further honor this occasion, Colors Cineplex is delighted to host Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s cricket team and the only Indian woman cricketer to score over 3,000 runs in both ODIs and T20Is. In the 2017 Women’s World Cup, she scored an astonishing 171 (not out) in the semi-final against Australia, making it the highest individual score by an Indian woman in the World Cup and the highest individual score ever in the Women’s World Cup. We will also Colonel Rajeev Bharwan the Indian Army— who always put his country first and demonstrated unparalleled devotion as commander of the elite Infantry/Strategic Special Airborne Troops Regiment. In addition, Afroz Shah, an environmental activist and advocate who was named the winner of the highest environmental award by the United Nations and praised by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi for his cleanliness work at Versova Beach in Mumbai, is attending. Shah is best known as the organizer of the world’s largest beach cleanup project, which has grown into a movement that has inspired people around the world to clean their surroundings. Her presence embodies the heroic spirit celebrated by ‘Asli Yodha’.

This recognition belongs not only to me but to every brave soldier who stands guard at our borders.”

Afroz Shah, environmental activist and lawyer best known for organizing the world’s largest beach cleanup project, said: “It is a great privilege to be part of the ‘Asli Yodha’ campaign. Just as our beach cleanups aim to restore and protect the environment, this campaign celebrates those who have dedicated their lives to serving and improving our nation. By highlighting these stories, Colors Cineplex inspires all of us to make a positive contribution and embody the true spirit of courage and resilience.”
