Comic propagandists destroy any semblance of objectivity

As expected, many progressive stars were present at the Democratic Party Convention.

Think Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kerry Washington, John Legend and others. Beyoncé’s absence was a calculated omission, but a celebrity appearance should have made a big splash.

Kenan Thompson isn’t as big a “name” as Queen Bey, but his factually shaky DNC sketch should have gotten more attention.

Why?

He’s the show’s longest-serving cast member, and that’s not even close. He’s been part of the ensemble since 2003. No other current cast member has his authority. He may be only 46, but he’s the elder statesman of “SNL.”

So what was he doing, spreading the Democrats’ arguments across the country? Shouldn’t the “SNL” team be keeping its cast members away from overtly partisan appearances?

Apparently not. And that is the new normal.

Earlier this year, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert hosted DNC fundraisers for then-presidential candidate Joe Biden. Not only did they help fill the Democrats’ coffers, they also kept the nation’s biggest secret to themselves.

President Biden’s cognitive state is poor, which is why he was forced to pass the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Kimmel even lied to his fans about the matter, pretending that Biden’s shocking freeze was just another “cheap fake” moment.

The bigger problem is clear. Colbert, Kimmel and Thompson are pushing the Democratic arguments of their respective platforms, relentlessly attacking Republican goals while ignoring almost all of the Democrats at risk.

That means you won’t hear any harsh barbs against Vice President Kamala Harris from now until Election Day. And probably for much longer, if Harris becomes the country’s first female president.

As for Thompson’s “sketch” criticizing Project 2025, even the commercial media fact-checkers have found major holes in it. Moreover, President Trump has repeatedly stated that he has no direct connection to Project 2025.

Other than that, it is 100 percent accurate.

Clown nose on. Clown nose off. But it’s propaganda around the clock.
