DC Comics and the Hero Initiative present: The Superman 100 Project

The Hero Initiative, the charity that helps comic book creators in medical and financial difficulties, is celebrating comics’ first and greatest superhero, Superman, in a big way!
“We are thrilled to partner with DC to celebrate Superman and show fans what the character has meant to comics and culture,” said Jim McLauchlin, President of the Hero Initiative. “The original comic book covers being released as part of the Superman 100 project are truly impressive and are sure to be a hit with fans and collectors.”
In 2023, DC Comics produced a few blank cardstock copies of Superman #6, and since then the Hero Initiative has asked 100 top artists to do original artwork directly on the covers. The result is The Superman 100 Project, which will be released in softcover on December 18 and includes all of the original sketch covers.
All 100+ original Hero Initiative Superman sketch covers are featured in the Superman 100 Project, featuring art by Alan Davis, Kevin Eastman, José Luis García-López, Dan Jurgens, Ed McGuinness, Frank Miller, Frank Quitely, and many more! The original sketch covers will be auctioned off starting in October. A limited edition hardcover copy will also be available directly from Hero Initiative and Third Eye Comics on December 18th.
