Denmark’s Core Hospitality takes over 14 Zleep hotels

KASTRUP, Denmark – Danish hotel company Zleep Hotels A/S, which currently has 14 hotels, is merging with third-party hotel management company Core Hospitality A/S, creating Denmark’s fourth largest hotel operator company.

While German hotel group Deutsche Hospitality (recently renamed H World International) owns 100% of the Zleep Hotels brand, Core Hospitality now owns 100% of the operations in Denmark, giving the company a larger market position due to its larger size.

Eight Zleep hotels opened outside Denmark will remain with H World International.

The new management company will continue to operate under the name Core Hospitality, thus underlining its multi-brand strategy as a white-label hotel operator.

In total, Core Hospitality now operates 19 hotels (2,288 rooms) under five brands: 14 Zleep Hotels in Denmark, two Moxy Hotels in Norway, a Fairfield by Marriott and a Residence Inn by Marriott in Copenhagen and the Kirk Suites in Vejle.

“It was also my dream to be a white label hotel operator. Now we really are at five brands – and there are more to come,” said Peter Haaber, CEO of Core Hospitality.

Following the merger, Core Hospitality will become Denmark’s sixth-largest operator. The company employs around 500 people across the company and has two more hotels in the pipeline – the Moxy Aarhus and Zleep Glostrup with a total of 340 rooms.
