Jace chats with writer Tom Taylor about his Detective Comics series for DC All In coming out in October. We learn that there’s something “integral” about Batman that ties into his origin that Tom will explore. It’s always challenging to go back and add to an origin after so many years, but Taylor seems confident that he’s found something complementary to the story that also ties into the present-day story of who’s killing young criminals in Gotham City. When it comes to writing Batman, Taylor explains that any story that features Batman tends to focus on the character, which is interesting because he’s one of the few characters who seems to have his own “narrative gravity.” Do you agree?
