Developers’ Choice: Blue Yeti microphone drops to lowest price this year

For many content creators, it’s either the Blue Yeti or bust. Sure, there’s competition, but nothing matches this mic’s reputation for value and quality with its four pickup patterns and customizable USB setup. Now you too can own the favorite mic for content creators this year at the lowest price possible.

You can get the Blue Yeti USB Microphone on Amazon for $99.99 (was $129.99). Note: The same price is also available at similar retailers like Best Buy. During the holiday season, the price of the Blue Yeti USB Microphone might drop even further, but it hasn’t been this low in at least eight months and there’s no guarantee it will get any cheaper.

Amazon sells two variants of the flagship Blue Yeti: the standard microphone and the “gaming” microphone. The microphones included in these deals are identical, but the gaming microphone is a better deal due to the additional accessories included.

The gaming microphone includes a Streamlabs kit with three exclusive themes that may be helpful for beginners, as well as a custom Blue Yeti pop filter that makes your voice clearer while recording. It also comes in the gaming-only Pink Dawn colorway, a vibrant departure from the collection’s usual black and silver tones, but you can still choose from more sober colors if you prefer.

The best deal on a Blue Yeti microphone today

We gave the Blue Yeti a full five stars in our Blue Yeti microphone review, and even now, the price you pay for the many features, sound quality, and ease of use is hard to beat.

The Blue Yeti supports bidirectional, cardioid, omnidirectional, and stereo patterns that allow you to optimize your sound for streaming, podcasting, and vocals. Our reviewer tested all of the patterns and found that the omnidirectional setting could capture sound from a full room of people, bidirectional and cardioid settings could accurately capture sounds close to the microphone, and stereo was a breeze when podcasting.

You can also simply connect it to a computer using USB cables that you might use for phones and tablets, instead of buying an XLR cable and an audio interface.

In addition to the high praise it receives in our review, the Blue Yeti USB microphone stands out as the best overall microphone in our lists of the best USB microphones and best microphones for streaming.
