Elder Scrolls Online Update 43 includes a new tool for finding, viewing and improving great player homes

This is truly a great year for MMO housing enthusiasts, because not only Paliá add a house management function and Guild Wars 2 promise housing, but now Elder Scrolls Online is adding its own house tours feature in Update 43 next week. In fact, this new housing mechanic is the subject of ZeniMax Online Studio’s latest developer blog. Essentially, the tool allows you to “find, visit, share and recommend ESO’s player-created houses.”

“Anyone can go to a new section of Activity Finder and list their homes for tours and tour homes themselves,” says Cullen Lee of ZOS. “You can anonymously recommend a limited number of homes each week, and those recommendations help determine a rotating selection of amazing homes to visit in the Featured Home Tours section. You can also mark any home as a favorite (even outside of home tours!) and revisit it later. When you list a home, you can add a custom nickname as well as up to three tags to convey the overall vibe or focus of the home.”

“Our two big goals for Home Tours were to make it easier to find great homes and to positively promote home sharing. By keeping these goals in mind, we were able to ensure the system was easy to use and keep our focus on creativity and visual diversity.”

Update 43 is a free update for all ESO Players; expect it on August 19th for PC and Mac and September 4th for consoles.
