If voters have requested a mail-in ballot, it must be received by the election office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day and cannot be returned to a polling place on Election Day. The U.S. Postal Service’s recommended one-week deadline to actually return a mail-in ballot has now passed. Mail-in voters can track the status of their ballot on EscambiaVotes.gov.

Voters can cast their ballots at their polling station on Election Day, Tuesday, August 20. Polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Florida’s closed partisan primary, you are only eligible to vote in the primary for the party you are registered with.

A general primary occurs when all candidates for an office belong to the same party. These primaries appear on every voter’s ballot. Voters in ECUA District 1 (Republican) and ECUA District 3 (Democratic) have these primaries on their ballot regardless of party affiliation.
