Eva Longoria rocked the blue wave in Victoria Beckham on the final day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The actress wore a bodycon dress with a V-neck that was reflected in a V-shaped waist seam, pleated details and draped short sleeves.
Longoria’s dress was from Victoria Beckham’s fall 2024 collection, which, as WWD previously reported, was “a more upscale collection from the designer with real showstoppers, especially in the outerwear and knitwear departments.”
The actress is a long-time friend of Beckham and has worn the designer’s dresses on many occasions.
Longoria was one of the final speakers at the Democratic National Convention. During her speech, the “Desperate Housewives” actress drew comparisons between her family and Kamala Harris’s, saying they both grew up knowing they had to “touch every rung of the ladder to get ahead.” The actress also broke into a new chant that appeals to Latino voters.
“In our community, we have a saying: ‘Si, se puede!’ which means ‘Yes, we can,'” Longoria said, referring to former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan. “But tonight I’m here to tell you, ‘Yes, she can,’ so we’re going to say, ‘Sie se puede.'”
The 2024 Democratic National Convention took place in Chicago from Monday to Thursday. The event, which was about officially nominating Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate and confirming her choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as vice president, also featured some fashion statements.
Former First Lady Michelle Obama took the stage in a criss-cross jacket by Monse, Jill Biden dazzled in a tailored dress by Ralph Lauren, and Hillary Clinton showed off her signature style in a tweed suit. Ella Emhoff, daughter of Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, and Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden, also opted for luxury fashion for the convention: Ella wore Thom Browne and Ashley wore all white in Gabriela Hearst.
