For so long, fans have seen their favorite characters and stories adapted for the screen by filmmakers who threw out everything that made them special in the first place, so it’s gratifying to have someone like Gunn at the helm. Of course, film and television are completely different storytelling mediums than comics, so things have to adapt and change over time, but it’s still nice to know that Gunn is coming from a place of pure love and respect.
