Flight attendant reveals she could face a ,000 fine if her passengers don’t follow these simple rules

There are many instructions given by flight attendants after boarding an airplane, and apparently for good reason.

According to one cabin crew member, flight attendants do not want to appear bossy, but simply want to avoid passengers having to pay a very large fine if they do not follow the rules.

In a now-viral TikTok video, American Airlines flight attendant Keana began, “Did you know that flight attendants can be fined $10,000 of their own money by the FAA?”

She continued: “If you’re on a plane and a flight attendant asks you to put your bag under the seat in front of you, or (says) you can’t hold your child who’s over two years old, or (that) your dog can’t block the aisle – just listen.

“Please, just listen.”

Keana now hopes that her appeal to passengers to listen to her and her colleagues will be heeded.

“We are asking you to do these things for a reason,” the flight attendant added, then reiterated the fine she may have to pay if passengers do not obey.

She added: “Every time, I don’t ask you to fasten your seatbelt, I don’t ask you to put your bag under (your seat), or I don’t ask you to lift up the little tray or fold up your seat.”

“That’s $10,000 … and the FAA can do that if they’re on board.”

“I don’t care that the last flight attendant didn’t ask you to follow the rules. They didn’t care about that fine. I care about that fine.”

Keana concluded: “So either CashApp for me. Or obey.”

UNILAD has contacted the Federal Aviation Administration for further information.

This is not the only thing that flight attendants have to deal with on board an airplane, as passengers can do some pretty disgusting things too.

And there is a particular habit of airline passengers that really annoys the flight attendants.

Marisa Mackle told Lunchtime Live: “One of the most annoying things for me was when people would blow their nose and hand you a tissue.

“When you walk down the aisle picking up trash, sometimes people say, ‘Oh, wait a minute!’ and just blow their nose.

“I actually remember one time when I came back from my break in LA and the curtain was drawn.

“An American passenger pulled the curtain and said, ‘Hey, I have something for you,’ and threw the tissue on my plate into my food. He thought he was doing me a favor.”
