Flight attendant reveals the dirtiest places on the plane | Travel news | Travel

Window blinds

One of the most shocking discoveries to come out of Dallas is that blinds are never cleaned.

“I have never seen blinds wiped down in my entire career,” she says.

Because they are touched by countless passengers throughout the day, layers of dirt and bacteria accumulate there, making them one of the dirtiest places on the plane.

Bathroom sink

The airplane’s bathroom also lacks cleanliness.

According to Dallas, not only are the sinks rarely cleaned, but there is also some pretty rough behavior.

“I’ve seen people vomit in bathroom sinks countless times, so if you drop something in there, I consider it a loss,” she warned.

The water in the sink, which is not drinkable due to its high bacterial content, also poses a risk.

“Washing your hands with it is probably not a good idea,” she adds, pointing out that the water will even damage her nails, whether she uses nail polish, gel or dip.

Toilet seats and carpets

If you thought the sinks were bad, you’ll find that the toilet seats and carpets were even worse.

Dallas reveals that in her entire career she has only witnessed toilet seats being cleaned once.

The carpets are no better: passengers often vomit on them or rub their bare feet into the fibers.

“I think we’ve all seen the video where the sewage runs all over the carpet,” she says, highlighting how dirty these carpets can be.

Seat belts and luggage racks

Dallas also warns against touching seat belts and luggage racks.

While the seat belt buckle is bad enough, the fabric strap itself is often exposed to even more dirt.

“I have seen countless burst diapers and vomit on them,” she revealed.

Another overlooked area is the overhead bins, which people often touch after dragging their luggage across the dirty floor of an airport.

“I have never seen anything like this cleared up in my entire career,” she explained.
