Ford unveils new Mustang and Bronco-inspired electric bikes

Ford Motor Company has introduced a new line of electric bicycles, expanding two of its popular brands.

The e-bikes are inspired by the Mustang cars and Bronco SUVs with distinctive style and performance.

According to a press release, the Mustang e-bike starts at $4,000, while the Bronco-inspired version starts at $4,500.

“We know the passion and thrill people feel when they get behind the wheel of a Bronco or Mustang… With these new e-bikes, even more people can experience the spirit of adventure of a Bronco and the excitement of a Mustang as soon as they grip the handlebars,” said Tyler Hill, global brand licensing manager at Ford, in the press release.

Both bikes have a range of 60 miles with a charging time of 3.5 hours.

Ford points out that charging times may vary depending on external factors such as battery age, maintenance and driving behavior.

The electric bikes feature a full-color LCD display that shows speed, battery life and range, inspired by the respective vehicles.

Both feature 750W hub motors that deliver 85Nm of torque and a top speed of 28mph.

Ford has unveiled its Mustang motorcycle to “adrenaline chasers” and announced that it is equipped with Pirelli Angel GT semi-slick tires to “optimize the speed and handling of the Mustang, improving rider safety and confidence,” the press release said.

To mark the car’s 60th anniversary, the automaker also produced a special version of the Mustang motorcycle.

On February 6, 1964, Lee Iacocca, vice president of Ford Motor Company, announced the new vehicle with the words: “The new car line will be called Mustang.”

For an additional charge of $390, bikers can choose from ten other colors for the Mustang version in addition to the standard gray.

The Bronco bike offers experiences for people with an “adventurous spirit” as it has a dual suspension with “GOAT” system, which means it can “cope with any terrain”.

The company has partnered with N+, an electric bike maker that focuses on “micromobility,” to provide riders with a “utilitarian commuter purpose” rather than fun, N+’s website says.

N+ has dealers in the USA and service centers in Europe.
