Former Blue Bell Ice Cream CEO and author at Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe book signing on Friday – WNWS Radio

Jackson, Tennessee – Guests are invited to meet Ricky Dickson, former President and CEO of Blue Bell Creameries, at Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe to sign his new release, “One Scoop at a Time: Stories & Lessons From Fear to Faith,” on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hardcover copies may be purchased at the event for $22.99 plus tax.

According to a press release from Tajuana Cheshier – The Bramblett Group – Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe proudly serves some of the most popular flavors from Blue Bell, a brand that was dear to the heart of Anne Shaw, the late grandmother of Old Country Store President Brooks Shaw.

“My grandmother often enjoyed a scoop of Blue Bell along with a warm slice of homemade chess pie,” said Shaw, third-generation owner of Old Country Store and Casey Jones Village. “There are many ways to honor her memory, but it feels especially fitting to bring people together to share stories of faith and resilience over a scoop of ice cream. She believed strongly in the power of community and the joy that simple pleasures like ice cream can bring, especially during difficult times. This event captures those values beautifully.”

In addition to Blue Bell ice cream, Miss Anne’s Ice Cream Shoppe offers fudge, milkshakes and waffle cones, as well as a selection of nostalgic toys, candy and sodas from days gone by.

In his book, Dickson reflects on his 43-year career at Blue Bell and his relationship with God. He shares insights on leadership, keys to success, and how ice cream can bring people together. One Scoop at a Time was released on July 16, 2024, and is available on Amazon and RickyDickson.com.
