After not being selected to the U.S. women’s basketball Olympic team, Caitlin Clark used the time off to revive her game. The Indiana Fever point guard quickly regained attention by setting a WNBA record for assists in a season as a rookie. She is on pace to break the total record of 316 assists set by Alyssa Thomas last year.
Clark has also made headlines for her, shall we say, competitive spirit. On Sunday against the Storm, she slammed a missed shot into the basket and received her fifth technical foul of the season. The Fever won 92-75.
The Fever will next face the Lynx and look to build on their recent success with about a quarter of the season left to play. The Lynx are 19-8 and lead the Western Conference. Minnesota, known for its strong defense, will look to counter Clark’s offensive prowess.
