How to abort missions in GTA Online

Here are some ways players can abandon missions in the game.

Leave GTA Online

The easiest way to abort a mission in GTAOnline is to exit Mission Mode and return to Story Mode. To do this, go to the pause menu, select the “Online” tab, and scroll down to find the “Exit” option. GTAOnline‘-Option.

Once you do this, you will automatically be taken out of the mission. This method works for all mission types, including the contract and freemode missions.

Search for new session

Another way to leave a mission is to join a new session in the game. To do this, open your pause menu, go to the “Online” section and select the “Find New Session” option.
