Hard Rock REVERB Hotel proposed for Pensacola’s Community Maritime Park

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The planned hotel in Pensacola’s Community Maritime Park will be a REVERB hotel by Hard Rock, The Dawson Company announced Wednesday.

It will feature more than 125 rooms equipped with the latest hotel technology, a full-service restaurant, a rooftop bar, a lobby bar and lounge, a quick-service restaurant and a fitness center, the press release said.

The design team includes Gensler and Kravitz Design, the global concept design firm led by music and style icon Lenny Kravitz.

The Pensacola City Council is expected to hear the proposal Thursday, which also calls for an apartment complex and shopping center next to Blue Wahoos Stadium, WEAR News previously reported.

In a press release, Hard Rock International announced that the groundbreaking for REVERB by Hard Rock will take place in 2026 and the opening will take place in 2029.

“REVERB by Hard Rock is a unique hotel brand designed to be a high-energy cultural gathering place for music fans, locals and travelers alike to generate new ideas and find inspiration,” said Hard Rock International. “This is the company’s sixth REVERB hotel to be added to the portfolio, with Atlanta and Hamburg also in the pipeline, as well as Kalamazoo, Tampa and Scottsdale.”

According to Hard Rock International, the project would create over 500 construction jobs and over 75 permanent hospitality jobs with competitive pay.

“An exclusive REVERB City Guide for Pensacola will feature lists curated by local artists of the most popular drink, restaurant and entertainment options throughout the area,” the press release states. “Additionally, the property will house a podcast recording studio for local talent and creatives, as well as a meeting room for conferences.”

“Hard Rock is excited to continue expanding our REVERB hotel portfolio with the second planned property in Florida, this time in the heart of Pensacola Bay. We have full confidence in our partner, The Dawson Company, to deliver a world-class hotel built on four decades of proven experience executing complex and catalytic projects throughout the Eastern United States and their extensive knowledge of the Pensacola market,” said Todd Hricko, senior vice president and head of global hotel development at Hard Rock International.

“With its roots in music, entertainment and philanthropy, Hard Rock is a wonderful partner for The Dawson Company as we continue to expand our real estate presence,” said Tamara Bowens, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Dawson Company. “We are truly excited to bring REVERB by Hard Rock to the city of Pensacola and also look forward to working closely with Gensler, Kravitz Design and Thornton Tomasetti to develop what is set to become an incredible mainstay in Pensacola.”
