At 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory effective Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
The weather service describes: “Heat index values of up to 103 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity can cause heat illnesses,” the weather service describes.
