Hilton opens dual-brand hotel project in Guyana

Hilton has announced its foray into Guyana with the signing of contracts for two hotels in the capital, Georgetown – Hilton Georgetown and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown.

These properties will be owned by a subsidiary of Assets Group and managed by Hilton.

The Hilton Georgetown, a new 11-story building, will feature 253 guest rooms and suites, a lobby bar, a signature restaurant and an outdoor pool with dining options.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown will feature 158 modern suites.

Both hotels offer their guests access to a private social club that includes a pool, fitness center, spa, coworking area, library and boardroom.

This club also offers two full-service restaurants, two bars, a café and bakery, a conference center with a 25,000 square foot ballroom and additional 11,000 square feet of meeting space.

The two new hotels are within easy reach of local embassies, corporate headquarters and entertainment venues.

Hilton’s expansion into Guyana through the dual-brand project strengthens the company’s presence in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region, where it currently operates more than 225 hotels.

The company has a development pipeline of more than 170 hotels and aims to enter eight new countries and territories in the coming years, including Bermuda and Paraguay this year and Guyana in 2027.
