Historic Hotel Bethlehem wins USA Today contest for fourth year in a row – NBC10 Philadelphia

For the fourth year in a row, a hotel in the Lehigh Valley has reason to celebrate.

USA Today named Historic Hotel Bethlehem “Best Historic Hotel/Resort in America.”

The announcement was made on social media on Wednesday and the hotel and community continued to celebrate.

“The bases were loaded after our three previous wins and we just knew our community would step up and hit a home run for us to get the fourth win,” said the hotel’s managing partner Bruce Haines in a press release. “It’s not just about the hotel crossing home plate for the fourth time. This award is for every guest we’ve ever had, our incredible hospitality team and our entire Lehigh Valley community.”

The hotel was built in 1922 on Bethlehem’s main street and has become a popular Christmas destination over the years.

Other hotels that made USA Today’s list are in California, Tennessee, Alabama, Washington, Wisconsin, Hawaii, DC and Virginia.

The Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey, even reached number 10. The Historic Hotel Bethlehem was the only hotel from Pennsylvania to be nominated this year.

The list was compiled with the help of a jury of experts and the hotels were voted the best by readers.
