The Redditor shared several pictures of his garden in the subreddit r/NativePlantGardening.

The first pictures show groups of flowers and the following pictures show close-ups of individual flowers in many colors, from white to yellow to purple.

The OP said, “It’s a nice feeling to have all this color without having to water!”

According to Birds & Blooms, several flowers are drought-resistant, including coneflowers, lavender, California poppy and artemisia. These flowers don’t need much water and can survive in dry weather.

Using drought-resistant plants in your garden can save you money and time. They require less maintenance and, according to Garden for Wildlife, don’t need much water because they’ve adapted to the area’s weather. This means you’ll save money on your water bill.

They also add color to your garden and attract pollinators. Pollinators can benefit the environment and our lives because, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, they are necessary for about 80% of the food and plant products we eat.

You can even make your garden a more pollinator-friendly place.

With all this color, low maintenance and cost savings, it’s hard not to want a garden like the ones in the pictures.

You can return your yard to nature to create a garden like this one. You just need to find plants that are native to your area.

Reddit users were quite impressed with the gardener’s garden.

One user said: “Wow! So gorgeous! The colors are beautiful! What an inspiration!!”

Another user wondered about the flowers’ low maintenance: “Beach flowers are so strange. They grow in pure sand and produce nutrient-rich seeds from nutrient-poor soil. And they never stop blooming.”

One user even wanted the gardener to mow his yard, saying, “Wow!! When do you have time to mow my lawn?!?”
