It’s hard growing up in the spotlight. The first celebrity we saw grow up before our eyes was Daniel Radcliffe. We saw him grow from an eight-year-old into a grown man.
The same goes for Jenna Ortega. The Wednesday actress grew up in the spotlight. In her upcoming film, an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel Klara and the Sun, in which she plays the role of a robot of the same name, she speaks openly about her experiences with artificial intelligence.

She says she hates AI and has therefore deleted her Twitter account.
Ortega says: “I hate AI. I mean, that’s it: AI could be used for incredible things. I think I saw something recently that said artificial intelligence could detect breast cancer four years before it progressed. That’s wonderful. Let’s leave it at that. Did I like opening a Twitter account at 14 because I was supposed to and seeing dirty edited content of myself as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong.”

She experienced many horrific incidents with artificial intelligence and social media itself. When she was 12 years old, the first direct message she opened was about a man’s genitals, and of course that freaked her out.
After Wednesday’s hype went a little too far, she received AI-generated pornographic images of her and that alone caused her to delete her Twitter account.

The 21-year-old actress has just come of age and with all those nasty pictures, the whole idea of social media made her uncomfortable.
On the other hand, editing a photo in a porn series using artificial intelligence is a crime and should stop.
