After two action-packed weeks of gold medals, bumps, bad breakdancing (and even a stripped bronze medal for Team USA), the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris officially come to a close on Sunday afternoon. The Olympics Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 11, at the 800,000-seat Stade de France in Paris. The two-hour event will be streamed live on Peacock.

The closing ceremony, titled “Records,” will take place on the Stade de France’s 2,800-square-meter stage. It promises “new interpretations” and will take viewers “on a journey through time, past and future,” organizers explained. The show will depict milestones in the history of the Olympic Games, stretching back to ancient Greece.

The Olympics Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. ET. NBC will also air a preview highlighting the most outstanding moments from this year’s Games at 2:00 p.m. ET and a replay of the main event in prime time.

The Olympics Closing Ceremony will be broadcast on NBC and streamed live on Peacock, the official streaming portal for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Who will perform at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games?

This year’s closing ceremony is expected to be one of the most star-studded farewell events in years. Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform during the closing ceremony. All three artists will be featured in a mix of recorded and live performances from Los Angeles.

Grammy, Oscar and Emmy award-winning actress HER will also be in attendance and will sing the US National Anthem. She will be accompanied by legendary French bands Phoenix and Air, who will also be part of the ceremony.

And finally, Tom Cruise is even set to perform a stunt at the closing ceremony. The actor, who is currently filming “Mission Impossible 8” and attended the opening ceremony in addition to the women’s gymnastics and swimming competitions, will hand over the flag for the 2028 Games to Los Angeles.
