The Cosentino family office has signed an agreement with Hyatt Hotels Corporation to create the first international 5-star hotel brand in Mojácar, Almería.
The new hotel, part of the Macenas Mediterranean Resort, will operate under the Destination by Hyatt brand. The agreement was implemented with the support of the Horwath HTL consulting firm. Construction, which will involve an investment of over 40 million euros, is scheduled to begin at the end of 2024. Completion is planned for 2026.

This development is of great importance for Almería, as it represents the first 5-star hotel in the city and the first international brand in the province. Designed by GCA Architects, the hotel features sustainable Mediterranean architecture.
The hotel will focus on luxury holiday tourism and events, attracting visitors all year round and helping to reduce the seasonality of tourism in the area. The project is expected to create around 110 jobs, providing both direct and indirect employment opportunities and supporting the local economy.
In addition to its upscale accommodations, the hotel offers access to a number of first-class amenities, including an eco-friendly 18-hole golf course.
This partnership is part of Hyatt’s strategy to expand its presence in Europe, where the Destination by Hyatt brand is already present in locations such as Ibiza, Sardinia and Scotland.
