Superman’s story comes to life in a stunning cover

As hard as it is to believe, Superman is nearly a century old. But in the time he has been on the scene, he has lived one of the fullest lives of any hero out there. The Man of Tomorrow made history when he burst onto the comics scene, and his legacy has only grown over the decades. Whether it was bringing Supergirl into the fold, coming back after a shocking death, or becoming a father to his son, Jon Kent, Superman’s story is full of moments that have shaken the comic world and has even shaped expectations of superhero stories.

I admit, I would have loved to throw Krypto a bone, but even I can’t fault the moments chosen for Clayton Henry’s cover. If I had to pick some of the most monumental things in Superman’s life, I’d probably pick everything shown here too. I’ve been a comic book reader for most of my life, but it never ceases to amaze me how much history is tied to this character and I am happy to say that this cover is an amazing tribute to Superman.

It’s hard to believe that a piece of art can say so much about the Man of Steel, but Henry does a great job with his cover. Reaching 1075 issues is no easy feat, but if anyone can really do it, it’s Superman. Like most other comic fans, I have no idea how long Superman’s adventures will last. But I do know how long he’s been around and what the most notable moments of his life are. I’m excited to see Superman and his story are so lovingly honored on this amazing comic cover.

Action Comics No. 1075 will be available from DC Comics on November 13th.

Superman

The icon who gave birth to the entire world of superheroes, the last son of Krypton, escaped his dying world to crash on Earth and grow up as Clark Kent. The world knows him better as Superman, the Man of Steel, leader of the Justice League, and the most recognizable hero in the DC Comics universe. Blessed with the powers of a demigod, Kal-El of Krypton battles enemies small and cosmic in his endless quest for truth, justice, and a better future.
