Dark circles under the eyes can make any complexion look tired and older than it is.
One woman has discovered how to avoid makeup mishaps by avoiding traditional concealer.
Redditor Downtown-honeydew388 explained her method in a post on the social media platform.
“Use a color corrector instead of concealer,” she revealed.
“It fits me much better. I use a cheap one called LAGirl at Target.
“I have fair skin, am black and use orange and peach.
“It looks wild at first, but once you blend it with the sponge it’s a miracle.”
The LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer sells at Target for $5.99.
TRICK OF THE TRADE
Downtown-honeydew388 added some tips for a tight under-eye look.
“The color corrector is not visible when the correct tone is selected,” she said.

“I wear very, very little makeup, but I can also wear a complete look.
“Do not apply up to the lash line.
“Do it about half an inch lower, mainly in the soft area under your eye, not on the lower lid.”
She also gave some tips on how to moisturize the under-eye area to prevent future crusting.
“As for hydration: water (of course), a very mild/non-irritating lotion, rub Vaseline around the eyes, and sleep with a cool mist humidifier next to the bed,” she said.
Her tips obviously work, as she remembered someone guessing her age to be much younger.
“The other day someone couldn’t believe I was 40. They thought I was 24,” she said.
One person appreciated her cosmetic tip and replied to her in the comments section.
“I usually wear as little makeup as possible, but the under-eye area always needs a little help,” she said.
Another Redditor raved about the product, which is available at Dollar Tree.
“LA Colors’ Conceal Correct line is incredibly underrated,” she wrote in a post.
“The peach-colored corrector is perfect for dark circles and has such a nice consistency.”
She added that because of its watery consistency, it is best worn when it dries a bit.
