A video of a content creator criticizing an influencer for his video, which some have called satire, about how 12-year-olds can get into online gambling has gone viral. Several people criticized the streamer and demanded that he should be banned. However, some argued that if a child cannot understand this video as a joke, then it is the fault of the parents who did not teach them the difference between reality and satire.

Instagram user Harj Gahley shared the video. “Suddenly it’s ‘cool.’ Kids as young as 12 are being influenced by celebrities and social media influencers who are paid generously to make the ‘Vegas’ lifestyle seem safe, normal, fun and cool. If you are a parent or have young children, YOU should be concerned,” he wrote.

In the video, Gahley claims that such videos could have a negative influence on children and adds that parents should keep their children away from such content.

What did Instagram users say about this video?

“He should be sued for saying such nonsense!” posted one Instagram user. This opinion was also expressed by several others.

Some argued that the influencer’s video was satire, with one commenting: “A 12-year-old wouldn’t see this as satire, they would be influenced.”

A third added: “He seems to be joking BUT GAMBLING IS A HUGE THING FOR KIDS TODAY. With the internet, the laws are not enforced. Promoting and providing gambling to children is becoming more and more popular.”

A fourth person said that if a 12-year-old doesn’t understand sarcasm, it’s the parents’ fault: “That’s a joke. If your child is mentally slow enough to believe and do what he says, then I think maybe the parents should use better parenting techniques.”

A fifth person wrote: “It can be so scary what kids have at their fingertips. As a parent, you may also be afraid of how friends, books, or school will influence your children – but ultimately, as a parent, you have the greatest influence when your children have a strong enough bond with you.”
