Internet is impressed by what flight attendants do for passengers: “Wow factor”

A flight attendant was celebrated as an “angel on earth” because she fulfilled a passenger’s special request during a flight.

The moment was posted by TikTok user Sabrina (@sabrinamahadzir), who is a flight attendant for Malaysia Airlines, according to a hashtag shared with the post. The clip has been viewed over 617,000 times since it was posted on July 30.

A message superimposed on the clip reads: “POV (Point of View): A passenger asked you to give her a French twist.”

In a caption shared with the post, the flight attendant said: “It was a long flight and I did my duties, so why not?”

The footage shows a flight attendant standing in the aisle of an airplane tending to a seated passenger while brushing her hair in sections. Later, the woman is seen with her hair up, smiling while standing next to the flight attendant.

Another note superimposed on the video reads: “When I say I love helping people, I mean it with all my heart.”

Flight attendant jobs are ranked 48thth in this year’s edition of U.S. News and World Report’s annual “100 Best Jobs.” The occupation ranked third among the highest-paying jobs without a degree and fifth among the best social service jobs and best jobs without a college degree.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of flight attendants is expected to grow by 11 percent between 2022 and 2032, “significantly faster than the average for all occupations.”

“Over the course of the decade, an average of about 16,600 flight attendant job openings are expected each year. Many of these jobs are expected to be created by the need to replace workers who move to other occupations or leave the labor market, such as to retire,” the BLS said.
