Iran’s deterrent power deters enemy aggression, says commander

TEHRAN: The deputy coordinating chief of the Iranian army has stated that Iran has a huge deterrent capability so that no enemy would dare to invade its borders.

Rear Admiral Habibullah Sayyari made these statements on Saturday evening during his speech to the National Martyrs’ Congress in Yazd province, where he expressed his appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs and praised the vigilance and wisdom of the people.

He recalled the eight years of the Sacred Defense and the contributions of the various forces on the battlefield, stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran demonstrated its deterrent strength to the world during the conflict and continues to face its opponents with honor today.

The naval officer emphasized Iran’s significant engagement in important regional events and stated: “The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in West Asia has strengthened.”

He claimed: “No one would dare to invade Iran” and pointed out that the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had plenty of weapons and were able to export them.

Sayyari stressed that Iran’s opponents, especially the Zionist occupation regime, are aware that they face significant deterrence challenges in response to their actions against our territory.
