Jamul Casino appoints Rocio Zorrilla as Hotel Manager for the opening of the new hotel tower

Jamul Casino has appointed Rocio Zorrilla as general manager of the 16-story hotel tower, which is scheduled to open in spring 2025.

She brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the San Diego gaming destination and will lead team members through opening and beyond, as well as exceeding guest expectations on a day-to-day basis.

“We are excited to welcome Rocio to our team of hospitality professionals working to make this hotel tower a reality, a dream that has been many years in the making,” said Mary Cheeks, President and CEO of Jamul Casino. “We look forward to bringing her insights and expertise to make this new 200-room hotel tower a resounding success, including continuing to enhance the overall guest experience at Jamul Casino.”

She has held various positions in the hospitality industry, including leadership roles at resorts around the world, such as Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the Dominican Republic and Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón in Florida.

Most recently served as Senior Manager of Hotel Operations at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California.

Her background includes leading diverse teams, optimizing the guest experience and overseeing complex operational aspects at prestigious properties such as the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City and the Montage Deer Valley. Her primary goal is to elevate the standards of the luxury hospitality industry and ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction for the highly anticipated expansion of Jamul Casino.
